Developers are to email LKE.Devrelations@lge-ku.com and then contact Seneca Newton or John Shirley when they are 15-30 days from drywall installation to notify that they are ready for the transformer installation for Single-Family Homes and Multi-Family Apartments. Chronological Pad Mount Transformer updates are available for viewing.

Following their November 22, 2022 meeting, MSD explained that the current capacity charge is inconsistent with Metro Ordinance and MSD's capital cost to provide wastewater treatment capacity.

Check Your Permit Status

Log into your Louisville Metro Business Portal to search the status of your permits by address. You will be able to view issued and pending permits, if none are displayed contact the Construction Review Team for assistance. You will also be able to view the status of requested inspections, electric permits, HVAC permits, and more.

MSD Final Inspection

MSD has provided a checklist of requirements that must be met before requesting a final inspection.


  1. All sanitary sewer appurtenances have been installed per approved plans and pipe backfilled and compacted at least 15 days prior to testing (per MSD Specifications 4.3.6).
  2. All other utilities have been installed and backfilled.
  3. Road base has been installed and concrete collars poured around all manholes installed in roadways.
  4. Sewers to be tested are verified by Developer, Contractor, or Plumber that no illegal connections have been made or have been removed prior to scheduling testing.
  5. MSD Inspector is notified of testing schedule at a minimum of 48 hours in advance. (Per MSD Specifications 4.3.5.1).
